Integration guide
Connect Reva to Cloudbeds
Our direct integration with Cloudbeds allows for better data quality and faster review synchronization, so every review is tied to the room type, guest, and stay it came from.

Reva is a review and guest intelligence platform for hotels and vacation rental operators. It pulls your reviews from Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Google, and your direct channels into one inbox, tags them with AI, drafts replies in your brand voice, and turns your reservation history into reports you can ask questions about in plain language.
Connecting Cloudbeds to Reva is what makes those reviews meaningful. Once the two are linked, Reva knows which room type a review is about, which guest wrote it, and which stay it came from. That is the difference between a wall of star ratings and a report that tells you the Garden Suite has a housekeeping problem in the second week of every month.
This article covers signing up, connecting, what the integration reads, and how to disconnect.
What the integration does
Reva reads your property structure, your reservations, and the guest details on those reservations. It uses them to:
- Match reviews to stays. A review that arrives from Booking.com is attributed to the room type, the dates, and the guest it belongs to, so you can filter and report on it.
- Send post-stay surveys. Reva can email a guest after checkout using the contact details on the reservation.
- Power reports and Intel Chat. Occupancy, channel mix, length of stay, and review performance are broken down by room type, by cohort, and over time. Intel Chat answers questions about all of it in plain English.
- Group your inventory. During setup you choose how Reva should group your room types into cohorts for reporting, either from your Cloudbeds structure, from a custom field on your rooms, or manually inside Reva.
What Reva currently reads from Cloudbeds
The connection uses four read-only OAuth permissions. Cloudbeds shows these to you on the approval screen before you grant access.
| Permission | What Reva reads |
|---|---|
read:hotel | Your property name and basic settings |
read:room | Room types, their names, and their maximum occupancy |
read:reservation | Check-in and check-out dates, nights, booking date, status, booking source, and the OTA confirmation code |
read:guest | The name, email, and phone number of the guest on each reservation |
What Reva never does
Reva never writes anything to Cloudbeds. Every permission above is read-only. Reva cannot create, change, or cancel a reservation, cannot touch rates or availability, and cannot edit a guest profile in your PMS.
Reva also does not request or read payment data. Folios, invoices, payment methods, and card details are outside the permissions granted and are never sent to Reva.
How often data syncs
On connection, Reva imports the last two years of reservations plus everything booked up to three months ahead. Depending on volume this takes anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours.
Every day after that, Reva syncs automatically. Each run picks up any reservation created or modified in the last seven days, along with upcoming stays out to three months, and refreshes your room types.
You do not need to trigger anything. If you ever need a full re-import, contact Reva support at hello@joinreva.com and we will run one for you.
How to connect Cloudbeds to Reva
- In Cloudbeds, go to Manage → Apps & Marketplace, find Reva, and click Connect.
- Review the permissions Reva is asking for and approve.
- Cloudbeds sends you to a Reva page titled Connect Cloudbeds to Reva. Sign in to Reva if you are prompted.
- Choose which Reva company should receive this connection from the Reva company dropdown, then click Confirm connection.
- You land on your Reva Integrations page with Cloudbeds connected.
If no company is available to choose, it means every Reva company you administer already has a PMS connected, or your user is not an Admin on any company. Email hello@joinreva.com and we will sort it out.
Confirming it worked
Give the first import 15 to 30 minutes, then open Listings Manager → Units in Reva. Your Cloudbeds room types should be listed there. Reservations and guests follow shortly after. If nothing has appeared after a couple of hours, contact support.
Limitations
Worth knowing before you connect:
- One PMS per Reva company. If another PMS is already connected, you cannot add Cloudbeds until the existing connection is removed. Email hello@joinreva.com and we will handle the switch.
- Reva syncs at room-type level. A reservation is attributed to the room type of its first room.
- No-shows are recorded as cancellations in Reva’s reporting.
- Reva does not import reviews from Cloudbeds. Reviews are collected directly from the OTAs and from Google Business Profile, which is set up separately in Reva.
- Sync runs once a day, not in real time. A booking made this afternoon appears in Reva after the next overnight sync.
- Reservations without a guest are skipped, and a reservation for a room type Reva has not imported yet is picked up on the following sync.
How to disconnect the apps
Disconnecting stops all data flowing between Cloudbeds and Reva. Do it from the Cloudbeds side, and Reva will clean up its own side automatically.
Disconnect from Cloudbeds
- In Cloudbeds, go to Manage → Apps and Integrations → Manage Apps.
- Under Connected Apps, find Reva and click Disconnect.
Once disconnected, no further information is shared between Cloudbeds and Reva.
What happens to your data
Reservation, guest, and room-type records already imported stay in your Reva account so your historical reporting keeps working. If you want that data deleted as well, say so when you contact support and we will erase it.
FAQ
Does Reva change anything in my Cloudbeds account?
No. All four permissions are read-only. Reva cannot create, edit, or cancel anything in Cloudbeds.
Can Reva see payment or credit card information?
No. Payment data is not covered by the permissions Reva requests and is never sent to Reva.
Can I change how my room types are grouped after connecting?
Yes. Email hello@joinreva.com and we will change the cohort setting for you; it is not editable from your Integrations page once the connection is live. Reva rebuilds the cohorts on the next sync.
How long does the first import take?
Usually 15 to 30 minutes for the room types and recent reservations. Two years of history on a large portfolio can take a couple of hours.
Can I connect the same Cloudbeds account to two Reva companies?
No. One Cloudbeds account maps to one Reva company. Contact support if your portfolio needs a different structure.
Will disconnecting delete my reviews?
No. Reviews are collected from the OTAs and Google, not from Cloudbeds, and are unaffected by disconnecting.
If you are switching to Cloudbeds from another PMS, please send us an email before you are live letting us know about the change.
